Timothy Grainey, Managing Member of Strategic Research Initiatives LLC, is a twenty-five year veteran of the market research industry. Tim worked for industry leaders like Research Information Center (Phoenix, Arizona), Opinion Research Corporation (Princeton, N.J./Toledo, Ohio) and Maritz Research (St. Louis Mo./Toledo, Ohio). Tim has designed large scale research programs for major automotive companies and their finance arms—including Customer Satisfaction programs–such as: General Motors, Volvo Cars of Sweden, Fiat of Brazil, Fuji Heavy Industries of Japan, Porsche, Renault of Mexico, Saab, Subaru, and Toyota. Tim has conducted multiple international research studies as well as opening research offices for Maritz Research in Mexico City and Sao Paulo, Brazil. A graduate of Arizona State University, Tim has also worked in the academic arena, having taught College and University level Speech Communication courses at Arizona State University, the University of Toledo, Owens Community College, the University of Detroit, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Tim has written a college textbook: Communicating in Teams, published by Pearson Custom Publishing in 1999 and 2000 (2nd edition) and has another book published in 2012 entitled; Beyond Bend It Like Beckham: Women’s Soccer As A Global Phenomena published by Bison Press.
